Abby Chan, MS, RDN, RYT (she/her) is a Flagstaff-based weight-inclusive Registered Dietitian who specializes in sports nutrition, eating disorders, and helping her clients re-establish their relationship to food and movement to find more peace in their relationship with food and their bodies. She earned her Master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Arizona State University and has over 8 years of experience as a registered dietitian. She is the co-owner of EVOLVE Flagstaff, an integrative facility that focuses on nutrition, injury prevention and rehabilitation, strength training, and meal preparation to help you do what you love, for life.
Outside of her nutrition practice, she is also a strength coach and registered yoga teacher and enjoys helping people find more embodiment through movement. She is the ultimate dog mom and is also an avid aerialist and outdoor athlete and you can find her on the trail on her bike, trail running, or skiing in the winter.
As a Chinese American Female, I have seen the ripple effects of racism and inequity in every facet of life. From a lack of representation in media and outdoor spaces to the lack of cultural humility in healthcare, and in the coaching world. I believe that The Coaches of Color Initiative provides a stage for those who have historically been left behind the curtain and provides them with the opportunity to grow as individuals and make a lifelong impact in their athletes and communities.
