Bertrand Newson
Bertrand came to running relatively late in life, but he’s made up for lost time, completing more than 300 events, including 58 marathons since 2011. He is the founder of Too Legit Fitness, a Silicon Valley-based running club with more than 800 members. He is also a partner with 80/20 Foundation Advisory Board member Kevin Chang in RaceMob, an online community whose offerings include a weekly podcast and coaching services. Bertrand’s other charitable work includes a role as Cochair of the TAJI 100, an organization that raises money for military families by hosting online running events. In 2021 he was appointed by the Road Running Clubs of America National Committee to a position focused on development and inclusion. Of the many people he has inspired to run, Bertrand is most proud of the influence he’s had on his younger brother Bernardo, who received a kidney transplant in 2007 and now participates regularly in 5K’s, 10K’s, and half marathons.
